They started framing our house today -- 7-30-07

They started framing our house this afternoon after the rain went away. We drove by this evening to see how far they've gotten. Here is our house...they were still working on it as we took the pictures around 7 pm. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like in the morning and later on tomorrow night. Definitely exciting!

Our house will be framed...

in 10 days. They're going to frame it on the 30th...it's all really going to start coming together then. :-)

And we have cement! -- July 20, 2007

Today, July 20, 2007, they poured our foundation!

Andy is freaking out saying there's no way that it could be big enough to support our house. The builder's have all said that it's an optical illusion and that our house will fit on that slab. Well, he went out and measured it today himself and he wants us to drive out to see the house in Fort Worth that is our same floor plan and measurements to see if it really is big enough. Silly boy!

It really is neat to see this all coming together and we so cannot wait for our house to be ready.

Rebar -- July 18, 2007

They put rebar and joists down before they pour the foundation so that the house will move as one unit due to the heat and cracking of the soil down here. They did ours on July 18, 2007. We're getting closer to our first big milestone!

Plumbing Top Out -- July 8, 2007

This was when they put in the plumbing PVC on July 8, 2007.

On July 4, they began to put up the wooden frame around where our foundation would be poured.
